MS. Biomedical Engineering , The City College of City University of New York (NY,USA) (2014-Present);

MSc. Biomedical Engineering (minor : Industrial Management), Tampere University of Technology (Tampere, Finland);

BSc. Biomedical Engineering, Baskent University (Ankara, Turkey)

Previous Work Experience before joining Bikson Lab :

Åbo Akademi University, Turku, Finland Research Scientist                                        January 2013 – March 2013

Improved ways for synthesis, calcinations and pore extention of Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles (MSN). MSN were used in cancer detection and therapy.

Found out right formula for placing Gadolinium particle inside the MSN for using in cancer imaging. Dynamic Light Scattering, Zeta Potential Measurement, Nitrogen Sorption Analysis, Small-angle X-ray scattering were used as characterization methods.

Was trained on cell culturing skills.

Åbo Akademi University, Turku, Finland Research Assistant                                       January 2012 – December 2012

Worked on Chemical Durability of Different Composition of Bioactive Glasses.

Density measurements, pH measurements in Tris buffer solution at different time intervals and hydrolytic resistance measurements of the glass grains at 98 °C were used to compare chemical durabilities of different compositions.

Was trained on how to make, cut, and crush bioactive glasses.

BonAlive Biomaterials Ltd. Turku, Finland Master of Science Thesis Worker                June 2011 – December 2011

Thesis title: Developing a New Hemostatic Agent (confidentiality agreement)

Baskent University, Ankara, Turkey Research Assistant                                              September 2007- September 2008

A new view to hydrocephaly disease: Polymeric shunts that were prepared by nanocovering technique.
